Mastering Job Site Logistics: Efficiency for Large-Scale Stone Projects
This technical report evaluates the critical role of Site Logistics in mitigating the 5% schedule growth common in large-scale masonry projects. We analyze the operational advantages of standardizing 110cm x 110cm plywood crates and adhering to the 17.5-ton USA port standard for predictable on-site handling. The article details high-velocity strategies for urban “Just-In-Time” (JIT) delivery, scaffolding load distribution for 30–55kg/m² stone specifications, and the 3-crate mixing protocol to eliminate visual banding. By utilizing CNC diamond-blade precision and pre-fabricated L-corners, contractors can minimize on-site waste streams, reduce labor fatigue, and secure architectural consistency across complex work zones.
